i want to put a little excerpt on my profile on the nanowrimo site but i have no idea what to excerpt. i suck at these things. so what's your favorite part? something without smut, i think....

"I dreamed about Danny last night."
"So?"
"I dreamed I had sex with Danny last night."
He could hear her mouth drop and he knew she was staring disbelievingly at the phone.
"You what?" she finally said.
"Dreamed about fucking my half brother."
"Jesus Mary and Joseph, Laurie. That's probably the sickest thing you've ever said to me."
"How do you think I feel? It woke me up with a raging hard-on, too." He rubbed the bridge of his nose. "It means I'm a sick twisted perv, doesn't it."
"Yes!"
"Gee, thanks. You're a lot of help."


because don't tell me that wouldn't drag you in ;) or something from this (http://www.livejournal.com/users/smackenzie/13575.html) (or even the whole thing, depending on how lengthy you want it to be) seeing as how it gives a nice introduction to the whole thing.

btw. I sent back the I will not copy letter a while ago but I have not seen any new chapters. Have I missed anything or has rl gotten in the way of the writeing?

I've just finished reading the whole thing to date (it's wonderful, by the way). If you're still looking for an appropriate except, I personally like:

"This time Laurie's alarm clock woke him up like it was supposed to, and he was momentarily confused as to why there was a strange arm flung over his shoulders. Then the body attached to the strange arm stirred, mumbled "Fuck," and he remembered. Danny sitting on his couch at two in the morning. Danny explaining he'd broken up with his girlfriend because he thought he might be gay.

Oh, joy."
