The other problem with having a motorcycle and not a car, Laurie mused later that day, was that when you worked in a fancy-ass, vaguely pretentious restaurant, and your uniform consisted of pressed black pants and a crisp white shirt, you could either wear your work clothes to work and arrive all wrinkled, or carry your work clothes to work and have to take the bus.

Laurie blinked. He certainly hadn't been expecting that.

"Huh?" he said stupidly.

"How'd you know you were gay?" Danny repeated.

"I wanted to kiss the football team, not the cheerleaders. Don't tell me...."

"I dunno." Danny shrugged again and dropped his head back onto the couch. "There's this guy on the soccer team - Marcus, he's the goalie - he's - shit, Laurie, he's hot."
